To be honest, its a rip off of Aliens! for the mainstream! its marines vs blue people instead of nasty creepy aliens

Pixar would have done it better. Buzz Lightyear has more personality than the What's-his-face hero guy. Sure the CGi was amazing but the whole plot was stuffed with cliches and soooooooooooooooooo freaking predictable.

I just saw it on HBO; big deal about it being a copy of Dances With Wolves, Ferngully, etc, but the story and dialogue was sooooo boring, dudes. Very disappointed. and was the main character controlling his Avatar through his brain!? ..... and this chick is cute :)

EVEN if the movie was original, it still sucked. its just so bland and boring of a movie. i feel disgusted that 3/4 of the world loves avatar. WTF???? god, how i HATED that shitty movie.

Dances With Wolves, Pocohontas, Ferngully, The Last Samaurai, Dune, etc., etc, etc....

This movie was just terrible hands down. Sure it was pretty, but pretty doesn't cover much when it fails in every other category.
