Church of Nativity in Bethlehem (Palestine/West Bank) (Oct. 2011)

This is the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, where people say, Jesus Christ was born. Bethlehem is located in the palestinian part in the West Bank in a fascinating region. I shot this video because of two reasons. The first one is to show you, how close different kind of religions can be at most holy places like here: A mosque in front of the church, where churchbells and muezzin sound hand-in-hand. A picture, which might not be transported into our regions and culture... And especially within a church, which - so I've learned - was build and created in jewish-style long long time ago. A little bit of a good mashup everything.

And... the second thing is, to show a picture of Bethlehem, we might not have in our minds, when we are thinking about all these Christmas things, this buying-presents-luncy... and having the dream of white christmas under a christmas-tree in our regions. Or... a palmtree...
