Just messing with the 808 and trying different sounds, trying to stay true to the vinyage "Electro" style

  • reminds me of .. Tibetan Jam Banshees .. the instrumental of Tibetan Jam.

  • @MrMykl71 What is Banshees??? The song is called "Tibetan Jam" by Chris The Glove Taylor and Dave Storrs

  • It brings a number of songs to mind. Some Tommy Boy, Man Parrish, as Jemiee said. Really good!

  • Thanks man, thats kinda why I left it dry, the base of any Old School Electro track, where you can use your own imagination

  • you need some synthesizers on this, keep it heavy.

  • Just added synth,,for the finished track just type in Slack (Electro Mix)

  • ahhhhhhhhhh the 80's

  • Too cool

  • Fantastic Beat///The 808 and the Linn together are so nice..I presume its the combination for hip hop be bop...Man Parrish.

Retro Drum Machines are just so cool.

  • Those toms remind me of the Miami Vice Theme by Jan Hammer.

  • Afrika BamBaaTaa & Soul Sonic Force/ Planet Patrol & Arthur Baker too many to name used this machine. I know because I was in this era.

  • man, this is sooooooooo cool, i love these 80's eletronic instruments

  • A bit like beginning of 19 from Paul Hardcastle :-)

  • kind of reminds me of "play that beat" by G.L.O.B.E.

  • I remember watching a video of some geezer who managed to turn the 808 into a 64 step sequencer. What an awesome machine. A true classic & this box alone revolutionized all music of today. Thank heavens for RAW sample sets. I can't afford this baby but It gets the ultimate drool factor. With an 808 & some headphones on a desert island who would need rescuing? The odd female visitor carrying some food & drink would be acceptable. :) That works both ways too ladies, I'm no sexist.

  • TR-808 best machine for old school rap, hip hop & electro!!!
