Robert Fuest's excellent 1975 satanic horror film, that really is much more atmospheric and well made than the extra melty trailer lets on. Stars Ernest Borgnine, William Shatner, Tom Skerritt, Joan Prather, Eddie Albert and Ida Lupino.

  • Why don't they say stuff like...

"Absolutely the most incredible, unforgettable ending of any motion picture ever."

    ...in film trailers these days?

Just imagine that in the trailer for Little Fockers!

  • i remember seeing this on W.O.R. probably in between old Dr. Who with Tom Baker and Benny Hill .... man they had some good stuff on W.O.R...morton downey and Mets baseball and movies like the devil's rain...all better than the shit that's on primetime network tv these days

  • i saw this film as a kid in the 70's and thought for sure that shatner was going to be the hero.i was so dissapointed .i love this movie, it's really hard to scare me but when i watch films with devil worshipers that creeps me out.the film had an excellent plot and a shocking ending.love the cast especially shatner.but i am also fans of tom skerritt, ida lupino and the great mr. borgnine.

  • and he can't shout beam me up Scotty!

  • saw this movie as a kid on a double bill with john carpenter's, dark star. i remember liking dark star and only really liking the end meltdown in devil's rain. though there were a group of girls in front of us who cheered shatner, cause they were trek fans. fuest did his best stuff earlier in england as i later watched most of his theatrical films on video/dvd.

  • @puck30: They also had a lot of Godzilla movies, too. Independent TV was great before WB/CW and UPN came along.

  • A then unknown John Travolta had a small part in this film.

  • I'd give Shatner 50 dolla for that cowboy hat

  • i want a remake

  • misfits sent me here

  • 0:40 Shirtless Shatner!
