gerry deserves all the credit he gets for clutch play and passing ability but it just bothers me how much credit he gets. he was just so inconsistent his last 2 years. and i think with jim boeheim as a coach SU would be in the top 75 pretty much every year.

i can agree with what you first said. but without gerry, hak would not have gotten half the points he did in hist career. g-mac gave him a shit load of assists. he may get a little more credit than he deserves, but ur making it sound like he did nothing for su. and thats the biggest load of bullshit ive ever heard. what do you think wouldve happened if gerry hadn't been put on su. if he wasn't, guarantee su would not even be in top 75 teams anymore

gerry mcnamara does not deserve to have his jersey retired more than hakim warrick, john wallace, or etan thomas. he probably will get his retired and it will be mainly because of how biased the city of syracuse is to him. hak, etan, and john wallace were all better in my opinion. they were more multi dementional and less streaky. wallace and hak both scored in double figures every game of their senior year and hak did it in his junior as well. i am sorry but it had to be said.
