DAMNIT Backpackers - an Important Aussie Summer message

Dear European Backpackers... an open letter to smelly traveling tourists hoping to experience the best of Australia and our melting-pot culture. Also beer.

May or may not be the start of a semi-regular "dear (whoever I want to mock)" styled video series
... it's not in black an white to play into the film student cliché... I just f'ed up the camera settings - including focus *sigh* - because I wasn't paying attention during set-up and this was the easiest way to fix it... also too lazy for a re-take ;)

People need to go back to school - Australia is in itself a continent and for this reason it is not classified as an island. And yes that means there are many countries that are technically not part of a continent i.e New Zealand.

Oceania is a region thats mainly centred on the 1000s of islands in the South Pacific but also includes Australia, parts of Asia and the parts of the Americas. It is not a continent. Australasia is a region of Oceania that centres on Australia and islands around it.

@Blunty3000 The definitions for 'island' and 'continent' vary depending on the perspective (scientific, geographic, historical/cultural, informal/laymen's). Under some definitions the comment "Australia is in itself a continent and for the reason..." is valid. The comment is perfectly correct from a geographic point of view and he is not a 'fucking retard'.
