@96318dakotaify you should always have your egt probe in the exhaust manifild. mounting it after the turbo is not an accurate egt reading location as the temperatur is less after the turbo than before.

i put my egt right after the turbo on the down pipe post turbo

instead of having to fish for the metal in the manifold, you could have just greased up your bits and your tap, the metal chips would have stuck to the grease, its how we rethread spark plug holes in the 5.4 and 6.8Ls when they blow plugs out.

This was helpful. It showed a few things I didn't know about those intercooler tubes..
What was the final result? Baseline mpg v. Modified MPG

I can't find the actual results but I think that the mpg improvement was to small to measure accurately.
