Why were there no Wholesale market traders at this meeting?

Because this was an initial meeting of Bull Ring Market traders to inform them what was going on and discuss what we as retail traders could do. Since then traders from both markets have joined forces and held a demo and also joint petition.

Where do the general public sign up?! Anyone thought of using a known and trusted petition site like '38 Degrees'? Might be an easy way to get a quick message out there.

This is outrageous. How can anyone say that the UK's second biggest city, and one with a roaring restaurant and entertainment trade too, not need a wholesale market, quite apart from the *certain* domino effect on the other markets? This is against the wishes of the public, more economic unsustainability (any big retail development will be clueless debt fuelled consortiums as usual), apart from losing traditional jobs and flushing 1000+ years of history.
