  • he couldve done better IMO. He got stuck on the rev limiter a bit, but great launch

  • @JD0x0 He had the rev limiter set conservatively since the motor was still fairly new. He later went back with it bumped up and shaved a couple tenths off.

  • if you could post the specs for this motor that would be really cool. i am trying to build a all motor miata so any help would be nice.

  • BP block, stock internals, 99-00 head, ITBs, full exhaust, lightened flywheel, and adj. cam gears.

  • Funny, I could say the same thing about you.

  • Were you ruuning slicks...sounded like you launched at redline...it got off the line pretty good.

  • Don't know what tires he was using, but he did launch at the redline.

  • @IKE5327

    The thing weighs nothing though.

  • @fooschnickens That's it? Wow, that's amazing..

  • sounds sick

  • that miata sounds really nice, god i hope my car sounds like that when im done rebuilding the motor and turbo charging it. is this a 4 cylinder?

  • @wakr2 yeah. Fuel cut is around 7250 for NA(first gen) i believe.

  • That's incredible for a N/A miata motor. These motors are not like Honda's that have high compression ratios and advanced head and cam design that can be very competitive in N/A form. Like Anabolix mentioned, boost is more common to see since the car comes with very low compression ratios for an N/A motor. I was expecting this car to have at least some internal work. Impressive.

  • do miatas have a rev limiter stock?
