Happy Chinese New Year! 2008 is the year of the rat.
I lived in Hong Kong for a couple of months in 1985 - 12 years before it ceased to be a British colony. These are some of the images I remember from that time.
The song, "Let Me Show You (What Love Can Do)", written and sung by John Perry and used here with his permission, celebrates the work of Jackie Pullinger - an English Christian who started working with heroin addicts in Kowloon's walled city in 1966, when she was just 22 years old. 42 years later the walled city is now a park but Jackie is still there.
I met Jackie when I was in Hong Kong but that was before I had bought my Nikon camera from a little backstreet shop in Tsim Tsa Tsui.

I came across your video as part of the 30 day prayer for muslims. Many muslims from Indonesia are coming to Hong Kong as laborers. Thanks for helping me better pray for people there.

Hi Chris,
A friend just came over form Hong Kong and works with Jackie Pullinger, so I was eager to get some information on her and came across your video first. Amazing.
God Bless.
