I saw a thick foam padded used on them. It looked gentle. Remember these were criminals in jail that refused to move. So what do you do? When they physically refuse. I thought the deputies and the Capt. handled it professionally. They used the least amount of force. I applaud them, bravo! I wish you were in charge in Oakland : )

I see nothing wrong with this video. A group of kids took over a room in a county jail and were removed, nothing more. What did they think was going to happen? Welcome to the real world kids. This could be used as a promotional video for Miyamoto.

and heres the best part. these fucking idiots were being released and this is them being kicked out of jail. if i was ever stupid enough to go to jail and the deputy told me "theres the door get the fuck out" i would be gone before he said" out." but no, "fuck you, you fascist pigs you cant make me leave your jail!" REALLY??!! COULD YOU BE THAT FUCKING RETARDED??!! lets just occupy everything.

hey rosenfeldb ya happy now! judging by all these comments maybe you should just remove this video, oh thats right , after the election. maybe you should spend more time learning how to be a human being and stop being a douchebag for hire, or is that what you do in your offtime also? cheers.

Youtube should delete you as a member. Get a life and quit getting paid by Politicians.

@rosenfeldb I see no excessive use of force. Your attempts to paint Miyamoto negativity will backfire. Any reasonable person would determine the use of force applied above is necessary, limited in duration and only to the degree that control and compliance is obtained. I am NOT a deputy, only a reasonable San Franciscan. I thank you for posting this video, I am more confident that Miyamoto has the skills necessary to handle any aspect of the Sheriff's Department.

How about going back to to school and learning REAL film editing instead of wasting your time and money on amateur video chopping for your opposition candidate ?

wingsofgrey so you were jaywalking?...as a group? you mean you were obstructing traffic. food is served three times a day, you may not like the portions or the selection but that is jail. as for the toilet by the window there is no expectation of privacy. and last if there is a toilet there is probably a sink with a faucet attached to it, hence your water, free to drink whenever you want. it may have been unpleasant for you but thats jail. dont cause a disturbance and expect four star treatment.

This exctraction happened after being held for 24 (plus the 6 outside on the street, kettled) hours with no blankets, barely any food or water and a toilet directly under a window in the door where we were being monitored. We were arrested for a traffic violation. aka JAYWALKING. we were then (after the video), moved into general population upstairs. for a JAYWALKING ticket. since when did jaywalking become criminal??

dear rosenfeldb, i applaud people who have the courage to expose those who abuse their authority, unfortunately you are not one of those people, you are a complete assclown. you have posted a highly edited video of deputy sheriffs dealing with an unruly group of trust-fund-hippies in a professional manner. squidsilverman, by your own comments you imply that you were there. if you were i dont think you would have heard the verbal commands that were most likely given by the deputies.

you were probably too busy carrying on like a 3 year old who throws a tantrum when mommy tells them its time to go to bed. did you feel brutalized when they came at you with their padded shields? i love how people were screaming before anyone was even touched. were you intimidated because they wore helmets with visors to protect themselves from assholes who like to spit on them? did you feel like your first amendment rights to freedom of speech and freedom of assembly were violated?
The force used was completely unnecessary and injurious. See link above for more information.
