The EVOLUTE™ toilet represents a new generation of sanitary design, and is radically different to a conventional toilet. The EVOLUTE™ features a solid ball (sphere) that has a hollow bored into it, effectively creating a cup within the ball. This cupped ball receives waste and is then rotated to deposit the waste directly to the drainage pipe. The cupped ball is contained within a sealed housing, which provides a seal at all times between the bathroom and the drainage system. This seal eliminates passage of any odours from the drainage system. via http://www.innoglobe.com.au/evolute.html.

  • I think that this idea is great, my only question is how large of a cup is that? What I'm getting at is there may be times when a person excretes a very large amount of excrement. Will the cup be able to handle it? Could you flush the toilet multiple times and will the pressure in the pipe be great enough to chop-up the waste?
