Have you considered titration for a more precise pH test? Nothing against strips, however they can be rather unreliable, in fact up to value off.
I think you'd be surprised how things we think are neutral, are in fact still acidic or alkaline.
You seem to be coming along with your understanding of chemistry. I would be more than happy to supply you with a more precise mechanism to do your test. :)

So what would happen if you mixed water+soda+vienegar? Would that have the right pH?

i know u hate when ppl use ur vids without ur permission.. IDK if they did this without ur permission, but someone uploaded a ur vid on their YT page.
i tried osting a link, but for somereason it wouldnt post. just type in ph and hair in the search bar and go down to the 10th video by russrusswoo. they have the same vid but in a crappy quality

Thank you SO much! :o) I just filed a DMCA complaint with Youtube. Fortunately, they make it very easy for us to report violators.
But I wouldn't have known had it not been for you. Thank goodness for people who look out for others!
