For the guy asking about reliability. I'm actually looking to put a Subaru motor in mine. I have a 1600cc vw right now and it's fast enough but it tends to overheat to fast with all the engine mods I've done
-
it coud be a 62 with irs weldid on when they shortened it
-
its not a 1962 it has the IRS rear suspension but still a great buggy !
-
are these reliable? they look a lot less complicated and simpler than todays cars. maybe they are also easy to work on? i want one
-
@Asitisinheaven correct.! there's all kinds of upgrades available. I just installed disc brakes all around, of course that was not available in 62. By the way mine is '57 hahaha
Enjoy the ride guys...

The fiberglass is not VW. It's an aftermarket body on a VW chassis. All I'm saying is if you have four lug wheels, independent rear suspension, and a twin port 1600 engine, then the car is at least a 1971. All those components won't just bolt on to a 1962 either. Also, your fiberglass body did not come with the back end cut out like that. You'll figure it out....

The red engineer or blue engineer?

somebody can help me to buy a dunne bugy?

It's not a 62. They didn't make independent rear suspension and four lug wheels in 62.

@Mr572u it's an upgraded '62 - they didn't make VWs in fibreglass in '62 either! Cheers Phil
