Cutting the Gst by 1% was worse than merely useless as BC just raised taxes 5%. So we went 1% back on GST and 5% forward on PST to make up for the shortfall from the FEDS. That's what I call worse than merely useless.

Harper accomplished zilch, except keep his promise on one side of his mouth knowing that cutback to the Provinces would cause the Provinces to make up for the cutback by increasing PST thereby placing the tax blame on others

When I lived in Victoria for two years, I was shocked to see how many people were working for cash, and it seemed with the authorities blessings. It was strange, but that's what has to be done to exist in a city with no meaningful employment. I'm glad I came back to Ontario "and prosperity".
