@joojoojuice That was actually a 3 way war....Communists vs Nationalists vs Japanese. Truth is, BOTH the communists and the nationalists were more interested in fighting each other for some God forsaken reason. Which resulted in China getting raped so hard by Japanese in WW2.

It's a mistaken concept to think only one Chinese party in the conflict wanted to fight the other.

@EdT586 yep, it's nothing to do with gov ideology. Singerpo is a one party ruling country dominated by Li Guangyao until recently he resigned, but it's one of the richest countries in the world. And look india, 24 political parties...enough democracy, but it's still a broke country, gov still corrupting...cities are dirty, etc...besides that china is no longer dominated by a dictatorship like chairman mao...it's the ccp that is ruling the country....
