@skippy025025 What makes a criminat WANT to go back to prison? You see it all the time on cop chase shows: 'He's a repeat offender and he knows that if he's caught he's getting 25 to life...' etc. Shakes head... wtf is the major malfunction with people like that?

Have to wonder if these guys were an influence on what later became The New Grass Revival.

While doin' a bit at Concord Prison I played with an inmate Rock Band. Seatrain came to the prison and we opened for them in around 1971. Killer Band! We were quite impressed. Also the fact that the Band did a free concert for the Prison
made all of us lifetime fans and friends. (BTW I got out in early 1972 and never
went back or re-offended, but that don't make good stories or newsprint).

Saw them at UCONN 1972 'ish. God what a night.

Saw the Train at a college in St Pete. Fla. They open for the Allman Bros. in "70

The opening cut from this LP, and IMO, the least musically interesting...
...except for Larry Atamanuik's drumming which is some of the most supportive, insightful, and exciting rock drumming I've ever heard in the studio.
(Full disclosure: I produced a session in 1983 in Boston where he was the drummer, and he brought the same taste, creativity, and excitement to it as you're hearing here. Anyone living on Martha's Vineyard now might be surprised at who he was backing up...)

Produced by Sir George Martin, They're in the movie "Festival Express". Richard Green has been a regular on Prairie Home Companion lately. Rowan is still active in Nashville.
Thanks for the upload. Lost my copy years ago. Actually got to see them at a place called Apterix (funky old grange hall) in Hyannis Ma. I think it was the summer of 72. Brings back lots of good memories.

Never saw them in concert but used to listen to them with my first girlfriend (a hippy chick that called herself Sunshine).
There used to be a place called "The Red Barn"
in Winterport, ME that had great concerts. It was a BYOB joint so the didn't have to mess with liquor licenses etc.
Saw a few great bands there.
My hometown Brunswick, ME. home of Bowdin College used to have great shows as well.
Seen Edgar Winters "White Trash" with J. Geils Band on the same bill and Alice Cooper later.
