have you got rid of the closed loop system? can hear compressor surge/blow off valve.
-
Awesome car; if you started 2nd gear roll from 2000rpm, the K04 car pull a car length or two on a GT28 car before it then comes screaming past; so yes the car will be in front at the start of the race but that's it.
Seems risky without doing the rods, but otherwise the car is sweet as!

Sounds like there's some turbo surge in there, not a dump or bov.
-
That is a fucking jet plane lol
-
50mm tial or diverters?
-
The car had ALL stock internals which made it so impressive. This was pushing the limits.. It ran mid 11's at 132+ in the quarter on the same setup!

I absolutely love the noise your engine is emitting... from the note to the turbo spool, is just awesome!
Is your engine built? Cos it looks like you're revving to over 7500rpm.

a dyno graph of torque and hp at 3-3.5k would tell whats up :) theres no doubt that thing will pull like a beast on the top end though, i just got bored with larger single turbo setups around town in the past

from a dig he'll get u off the line with the AWD, sorry :-)
looks like a metric shit ton of lag to me, i hit 24 psi by 3.6ish k on ko4s :(

And I guarantee you that even with your quick spooling K04's, you won't be one inch ahead of this car at any moment during a race. 24 psi on K04's ≠ 24 psi on GT28's.
These GT's are making more power at 18 psi than k04's on 24 psi.

that crazy!!!! i cant believe you havent had any problems. I'm just going on past experience when I blew a rod thru the block in my B6 1.8T, it was a completly stock motor with a GT3071R turbo kit. That was not fun. Needless to say I now have a Eurospec small block with forged rods and pistons/crank. It only took me 10 grand to solve that problem. It still hurts..haha

For what it's worth, this isn't my car -- however, it isn't daily driven so I think that may play a role in the stock rods not punching a hole through the block. I'm in the middle of a 2.7T GT built and went straight with forged rods because to me it's not worth the risk since it's going to be a daily driver.

I dont understand how a stock motor can take that kind of abuse with twin GT28s without upgrading to forged pistons and rods, unless you're running low boost set at like 18psi or somethin.

The 2.7T has a forged crank and forged Mahle pistons from the factory. The connecting rods, however, are cast and are a known weak point. This GT S4 is a rarity in that it's running stock rods -- though the majority that do this sort of setup upgrade to forged rods for safety.
