@MrJdmcknight with Max there was a way to do a flying chop that would stun a guy without knocking him over, and if done right you could grab them from behind and atomic drop them. Max was a beast if you could do this reliably cos it took so much HP off, it could kill pretty much anything without a second life bar, and is how I got through the game on mania. Eventually.
