  • I love Youtube for being able to listen to any McCartney song I want to at the drop of a hat. EVERY WINGS ALBUM IS ONE OF THE BEST WINGS ALBUMS. I could listen to them all back to back, back to the egg, and I wouldn't care which album they came from. McCartney is up there with the great composers in all of human history.

  • Great song!!! My fav on the album!

  • I don't know wtf Paul's critics were thinking when they slammed his solo stuff. Did they all go tone deaf? What is mediocre for Paul is great for anyone else. This is a great tune!

  • i think my love is better in concert than on red rose speedway

  • @paulrandomview looks like you've come to the wrong place then!!!

  • This tune ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of my favorite on the album, even though I don't enjoy some of the lyrics. The chorus is pretty good though.

  • No idea why, but I've always found Paul McCartney really, really irritating.

  • @crapple009 "My Love" sounds like dreary elevator/sunday lunch at Toby Carvery music.

  • @ipolson Totally agreed. Wild Life was quite a patchy start to Wings career. And My Love's "wo, wo, wo, wo's" is quite banal.

  • @crapple009: I would say that 'My Love' is one of my least fabourite Macca songs. Most of his ballads are usually musically interesting, but to me 'My Love' is just tedious. Re Wild Life, I think there are a couple of good songs in there, 'Tomorrow' is ok, but not really a great album. I think he was too busy getting Wings together to get on the road to really concentrate on the songwriting. 'Dear Friend' is of course interesting because its the answer to John's 'How Do you Sleep'.

  • @ipolson Yeah, Red Rose Speedway is a good one- I recently bought the triple RRS set (2 discs + the JPMcCartney television special from '73) and have gotten back into it, though My Love, for me, hasn't aged well (I always felt it had one chorus too many that should've been edited), though I liked it as a kid. I always skip that track, though I like the solo on it. What's your take on Wild Life, btw?
