Dance for Peace 2009

This is the third year of Larry Nimmer's Dance for Peace. This time, Nimmer danced around the 12 mile perimeter of Carpinteria, California. It took 10 hours, with stops for snacks and lunch. Larry solicited other "Dance for Peace" videos and those sent to him online were included in this video. The dance this year was performed on January 20, 2009, in honor of President Obama's inauguration. Thanks to sponsors Where Peace Lives and Teach Peace Foundation. i dance everyday everywhere i go, at the grocery store, at red lights in traffic in my car, at the gas station - i snap my fingers in the air like i just don't care.

Michael Jackson inspired me to be fearless, to do what i want when i want. i love the reactions of people it is a Thrill! most smile and many cheer for the MJ music they hear

and i tell ya, i'm getting a lot more looks from the ladies than the stiffs standing around with their chests & chins puffed out.

That's one of the messages i've ever recieved... who's Bad... you are... keep up your dancing and i like how you use MJ to inspire you... I didn't realize it until you said it, but I do it too... yeah, the ladies must love it!!!

This is lovely, Larry! I did dance for you this year, but not for a camera...Next year I will try to convince my sisters to dance with me in honor of our brother JoeO. If they are too shy I will dance with my kids and grandbabies :o)

This video is a great idea. It's wonderful to see so many people now have hope with President Obama. I'm not even an American but I am so thankful he was elected and will hopefully make the world a better place.
