This hike you can do with or without horses. The hike can take from 2-6 hours, depending on how long hike you are up for.
There are a few hills but basically you are walking on a plateau with a fantastic view to the volcano, the Caribbean sea and the rain forest. Part of the land is used for agriculture and cattle, but most of the land is abandoned many years ago and you will see the biggest mango trees, pick guavas and enjoy the special sounds of the jungle.
