  • Say what you will about the game itself, but the music is just absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had the sheet music so I could perform this with my college band

  • @Ospada You could try to arrange it.

  • god i miss wow the real wow it gone 4ever but still the music can make me remember all the good time we all had playing it wasting years of our life in the best video game ever

  • 1:57 hit me like a ton of bricks. <3

  • The first two minutes hits me really hard.

I was in a guild during the end of BC and all through WotLK. We were all pretty close. Anyway, when WotLK released we always and I mean ALWAYS hung out in Grizzly Hills and occasionally this song would play, it was nice.

Since the first few months of Cataclysm they've all quit and my WoW experience has died pretty much. I never get attached to guilds or anything anymore.

This song reminds me of the good times, the first bit at least. :)

  • i was playing minecraft while listening to this and it started raining >.>

  • @redcloud527 Actually, that was supposed to be a response to Shmloop, LoL

  • @mixuz91 The psalmodikon looks like it MIGHT be the instrument you refer to. If you look at the city of Dalaran, the name itself could be derivative. Given the Nordic influences of the monsters, the Viking influences in architecture of the building in Northrend, I've no doubt you are spot on.

  • @mixuz91 Nyckelharpa. A "keyed fiddle".

  • @Shmloop Actually, the part that starts 1:57 is probably inspired from an instrument used in Dalarna. Dalarna is a county in Sweden. Sounds exactly like that kind of music. :P Perhaps medwest american sounds the same, never heard it. But i immediately thought they used the intstrument i'm talking about, dont remember its name tho :/ Its kinda weird and complex to play. :) Maybe we both are right. :) Great piece of work tho, my favourite song.

  • 2 people have no sense of beauty.

  • This is actually a love song.
