This bunch had a (very) late night TV special in Britain back in 1995. I taped it thinking it must be some old film of The Byrds - imagine my disappointment and horror the following morning! Cut the tape to shreds rather than sully anything by reusing it!

They suck

Check out that mullet

You should re-title this as "Fake Byrds".

what shit...

sounds like open mic night at LA Wannabe's...

Skip is ultra cool.

Well said - thank you.

Not unless you count Skip Battin, who was in the Byrds from 1969-73. Scott and Tim were hired by Battin and Rogers. Tim Politte was hired to replace Mike Clarke (an original Byrd) who died in late1993.

These Byrds don't fly!. Peace.

You are exactly right. After Mike Clarke's death, the group briefly recruited Gene Parsons as drummer before hiring Tim Politte. They then billed themselves as "The Byrds Celebration" until David Crosby acquired the legal rights to the Byrds trademark, after which they called themselves "Younger Than Yesterday". Still, any way you look at it, these are not the Byrds.

This is the remnants of The touring group of Byrds that Michael Clarke formed, that continued on after his death.
That is Skip Battin, from The Byrds' recording days, on the bass. He played with this group until he began to suffer health problems.
Two other ex-Byrds from the McGuinn days worked for a short spell with this incarnation, Gene Parsons and John York.

I Don't know who the Hell these Guy's are. But one thing I know for sure and there's not a Byrd in the group
Mc Guinn callied this band "counterfeit", and it's nice to know that Crosby finally stopped them from using the Byrds name. One has to feel sorry for those who came to see the Byrds and got this lukewarm imitation instead. They should have called themselves "Anything for a Buck". The only one here who ever actually worked for McGuinn was Skip Battin, and McGuinn fired him in 1973, so the only connection is that Rogers and Battin worked for Clarke - more vultures than Byrds here.

You miss the point. You can appreciate them for playing well, doing a great song, being a cover band, etc.. but they cannot call themselves The Byrds! That's out of order (and illegal)! Let's have them "bringing you great music" with their own name
