look, im british, i was born here and i personally am insulted by everything u have said, yeah, were not a member of the un because we were SMART enough not to be, look at all of the problems the rest of europe are in, are we in that much trouble, no, we are a highly famous NATION and are proud of it, if it wernt for us u wouldnt even be speaking ENGLISH, we manage are own affairs, we have a ENGLISH passport, thats its name, what is the difference anyway, NOTHING, stop being a racist dickhead!!

I'm sorry if you think this video is inflammatory, but sometimes we just have to make a point...

Many people have been commenting that I am stating the obvious, others flat out refuse to believe that England is not a real country.

Which is it then?

In my humble opinion and experience, a country is generally a sovereign nation state. This is what people usually mean when they talk about countries. England is not a sovereign nation state, therefore in my humble opinion, England is not a country.....not a 'real' one anyway.

I know I am being hated for creating this video, but I simply had to make it. Why?

82% of the UK is English, but there are 3 other nations/provinces that make up the rest of the UK.

Many people consider them insignificant, because after all they only make up the remaining 18%.

Obviously this means that the UK is overwhelmingly English, but this is not a valid excuse for inventing things that simply don't exist.

English Passports, English Government, English Prime Minister etc.

By doing this, it comes across as ignorant, arrogant and desperate. Desperate to maintain the illusion that England is still a nation state in it's own right, on the same level as say Germany, or Italy.

I know many foreigners are guilty of the heinous crimes mentioned above, but in my personal experience, a large number of English people are too!

I have personally heard mention of English Passports by English people, English pounds, and when England invaded Iraq etc etc.

England although dominant in the UK, is merely a province of it. The largest province? absolutely, but a province nonetheless.

Ironically, the countries that the UK used to own are now 'real' countries, such as Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, India. All these countries are members of the United Nations, wheras England is not.

I believe this essentially means that England is a colony within the empire it helped to create!

I find this to be an injustice, I am Scottish and I want Scotland and England to divorce themselves from a union that is very imbalanced. I want Scotland and England to be social partners on the Island of Great Britain, but to remove all economic, military, and foreign ties that bind us as the UK country.

I want to see 'England' on the little card in front of the ambassador from England at the United Nations.

I made this video when I was still a supporter of the UK Union, but I reluctantly changed my mind about a year ago due to the relentless attacks on my own 'country' of Scotland by people who keep calling us subsidized and ruled by England.

It's a real shame, but you can see in the comments below, this attitude it still very much prevalent.

I look forward to the day when England and Scotland become real countries again, with important social and Royal links, but with no economic or political dependencies.

P.s.
This topic could also apply to Holland as well, maybe even places like Bavaria. But I've never heard anyone refer to Bavaria as a country so....

Actually I think you would find with little research that the UK can be called to war or any other means by the Queen who in fact is English so England have complete control over their affairs

Can I just say there:

First, England is a member of the UN, it is a permanent member on the security council like the USA, France, Russia and China.

Mainly you are arguing that that England is not a country, well, it is, and the UK, which has been chosen to represent England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, is a Kingdom, something which what the USA, which is where i am guessing you come from, is not.

Therefore, England is a Country represented by the UK
