A video of Saga performing "Time's Up" live. The top window is from a 1983 concert (audio is on the LEFT channel). The bottom is from a 2005 concert (audio is on the RIGHT channel). Had to speed up the 2005 concert to match the older one so the audio is a little "wavy". Steve Negus was their original drummer in 1983. Brian Doerner is the drummer in 2005. Can't believe there's 22-years between performances. I had fun killing time on a Saturday.

  • Guitar Critchton should have put the finale lead on the Worlds Apart album. It is truly a melancholy guitar lead for my favorite melancholy song of all time. These guys are the reason Getty Lee got so infatuated with synths in the mid 80's. IMO...

  • Hey this is awesome! Great Idea! Thanx for making and uploading this! Unbelievable, they sound the same after 22 years! The guitar outro imho is better on the left side, the older one, but otherwise it's an amazing comparison and the younger version can keep up with the older version!

All the best for you and all the ones you love from Germany / Cologne

    Lothar as ELPI

  • @synthbuilder

I agree with you. Nothings sounds as warm as those old analog synths.

  • Cool concept. Saga rules!

  • Great to hear Ian playing two different guitarparts in the middle and in the end....

  • Great work, nothing else sounding better than the Multimoog (Bassline) and Polymoog (Chords) from 1985. I like this warm unstaitc sound.

  • its a mayday...this is how i feel right now

anyway, you are one creative mind for doing this.

  • good work, it's awesome to see that Saga still got the magic after all those years.

  • What a great A/B comparison!
