  • are theese normal double bass strings or rubber bands,or what?

  • They are silicon strings.

  • Its not fake, the only "fake" part is the drums which are a loop. I used headphones (as you can see) yo play over it.

I also mic'ed the bass with a Shure sm57 and EQ'ed and Compressed in the computer.

  • Uhm .... shouldn't the notes get noticeably higher as your hand moves down the neck and noticeably lower as it moves up the neck? It doesn't seem to make any sense the way it is presented.

  • There are 3 strings, so pitch also changes from string to string.

  • Keep your left wrist straighter.

  • Thanks for the advice. I dont play upright any more (never played actually).

  • You should make a How To video of how to make one of these.

  • It's a product you can buy online for about $100. Great invention.

  • Never inderestimate the power of a Box.

  • Saw it on TV, I think it is absolutely Awesome.

  • These would be great for K-12 schools! They're always complaining about the budget. Now the music department can have a high quality sound instrument at a low price!

  • Ghetto but awesome

  • brilliant

  • @Beowoulff look more carefully and youll understand. Keep it up Daddy Tres! Thats awesome!

  • This is great! Sounds great without the botique bass pricetag, and thats what music is all about, loving what you're doing, not just showing off how much money you can spend on a dial-a-tone instrument.

  • @neothomist1275 It's always good to see a cardboard bass expert sharing his knowledge with the masses.

  • @dadodetres electric bass player i guess, that explains why you use two fingers, i find it hard to pluck properly since i started playing electric bass more often
