the charming coronation ceremony from the prisoner of Zenda movie, Stewart Granger and Deborah Kerr one of the most adorable Hollywood couples, the story of this movie was written by Sir Anthony Hope Hawkins (9 February 1863 -- 8 July 1933) who was wrote the prisoner of Zenda novel in (1894) and its second part Rupert of Hentzau in (1898). I hope you will like it , this is my first uploading to youtube site, my greetings from the Pharaohs land Egypt.(Ahmed Egyptology)

  • OMG, douglas fairbanks is deserve to be rupert than that guy! :D

  • A great film.

  • Kind of funny to see this after watching the 1937 version.

  • hehe, i have to make a presentation at school about the book of the story :D:D thank u for posting!

  • An attempt at a re-make,and as someone who very much admires Stuart Granger as a fine actor, this version is just a very poor of the the original with Ronald Colman and as re-make lost much essential feeling .

We are able to compare almost scene by scene ,it is so obvious that the acting of all in the Colman 1937 version is so much superior, the looks to camera, the evil of Prince Michael are so enhanced .

Colman & Granger both fine actors, but Colman by any measure the true & what a voice

  • Thank you for posting my ancestor's classic film adaption l think this is the best !

  • @mucozo As Stewart Granger enters and marches down the hall, the music is "See the conquering hero comes...", form Georg Friedrich Händel's Judas Maccabeaus. There are several renderings of this famous music in Youtube.
