Ed, if you have EQ both on your Amp AND on your active bass... how do you about it? What do you tweak first?

Just a general question to someone who really really knows about sound

@JavierMareco - I prefer to get the sound mostly from the amp. I get my gain up so I don't have to play too hard, then adjust the eq for my basic sound. Then, I do fine tuning and subtle changes for each tune (if needed) from the onboard preamp eq.

@BassGuitarMag I've noticed that you do play kinda soft, very gentle. But I guess it depends on what tone you are after and what kind of music you play. Playing that softly wouldn't work for players like Erlend Caspersen that plays almost identical to the guitarparts (usually...).
