I was introduced to Daniel Libeskind at the Academy of Arts in Berlin in 1993 by Peter Lilienthal. Years later, after he had completed the Jewish Museum in Berlin, I met Daniel in his office in Berlin. I remember him as exceptionally enthusiastic -- the living end of a nerve.

  • Libeskind is nothing short of a creative genius. He is also very articulate in expressing very complicated ideas. In my opinion, the mine is a good patron and promoter of architecture and with or without the use of the word "starchitect" he will undoubtedly be remembered for showing how architecture can speak beyond its material qualities.
