The cha cha was born from the mambo!, they used to call it the triple mambo. If you listen to alot of old school mambos u will find that some of them have what we now know as the "cha cha" beat

ah pinche abuelo, estoy de acuerdo que Perez Prado es un fuera de serie pero en todas las generaciones hay artistas excepcionales que exploran nuevos caminos.
