AOE Mage Grinding Tutorial

This is a simple tutorial on how to grind using Mage AOE spells in World of Warcraft. I have seen a few other videos like this, this is merely a showing of how I like to approach it.

NEW TIP! Pop your Ice Barrier and wait til it has almost cooled down again before you head in to round up the mobs. That way before you Ice Block you can pop it again if you're taking too much damage. ALSO: I was still a little bit of an AoE noob when I made this (I may have to remake it heh) but PLEASE Ice Block after you pull all your mobs together. It makes life so much easier...

CORRECTION: In the video I mentioned that spamming Arcane Explosions was a bad idea. After playing with it I find it quite useful actually for finishing off the groups.

Update: Scynthias is now Level 53 :) (4/17/08)
Update #2: Scynthias hit Level 61 today! Woot! (5/9/08)
Update #3: Scynthias is almost Level 74. Separate note: I know the talent trees have changed since 3.0. However, same principle with speccing remains the same: avoid Frostbite and get Imp. Blizzard.

How come when i blizzard my mobs seem to move quite a bit faster to me and there there before i can cast another frost nova?

@good6111 You need to be specced into Improved Blizzard 3/3. This slows them down to 50% speed. I know the nerfed this talent since I made this video (used to be 75%), but you should still be able to do it. Make sure you also spec points into shattered Barrier for that extra freeze.

My apologies to such a late reply but better than never right? lol. I recommend doing both grinding and questing, find some spots prime for AoE and hit those places to and from quests.

Addons I use currently (and love them all): Bartender, Bagnon, JPack, Sexymap, Gladius, and Gag.
