@Orfeas91 i have a much better usb turn table and will be doing a video on it, yes you can just jam to a record without having to upload it or record it, depending on the device you have! I'm listening to elvis' first album right now.

Yes, you have to use any uncompressed format like Wav to burn a CD

@photoelectra I believe you have to download the "LAME" plug in for the PC in order to save as an MP3. You're better off saving as a WAV file because MP3's compress the audio resulting in losing quality, UNLESS you save at a bit rate of 320 or higher.

I understand that using Audacity is good for cross platforms, i.e: Windows and OSX. But since you're on a Mac, why not just use Garage Band? It has tons of options Audacity doesn't have and easier to use.

I didnt know how to record my vinyl with Audacity and this video guided me all the way. Thanks for posting this video now I have been recording my vinyl to digital thanks.

Yes, I downloaded Lame. I am now able to use Audacity quite well! I was able to use the turntable successfully, but have to redo some of the recordings that I first downloaded. Thanks so much for your help and for the reply.
