Resin Casting experiment 1 & 2

My attempt to use silicon and resin to copy parts from model kits. Just a quick update.
First mold was a failure, second one works good.

@lhasarus Firstly , will you join our FSS group build?

I bought all those things for about 50USD. Art supply store should have them. 11USD for 500g of silicon+agent. 10USD for 400g of A+B resin, ps. mixing ratio are in weight, not capacity. 3USD for a clay and mold release. the rest of the money was wasted on those Gunze mold blocks...

A FSS story group build sounds great. Where can I find it? Participation would be very unlikely because of lacking time for the hobby but lurking around should be fun, too.

What did you do about the fumes of resin? While sanding/drilling in the models it's already annoying but while curing...must be pure poison.

@lhasarus Nothing has been posted about, it hasn't start yet. Me, Aries, Zeoner and you that makes 4 of us. no need to worry about lacking time to build it, just join in and play along.

When curing yes they make me headache in just minutes. wear an organic gas mask.

@lhasarus also. your local store probably stock resin in large bottle. Try to get the small ones, those thing will expire you can't keep them unuse for long.
