PopSugar 100 Upset! Johnny Depp Lands at Number One Over Robert Pattinson!

After weeks of voting, Johnny Depp scores the PopSugar 100 number one spot over reigning champion Robert Pattinson!

Lauren: Hey there, I'm Lauren . . .

Karli: . . . And I'm Karli, and we're giving you the full rundown of this year's PopSugar 100 results in today's special PopSugar Rush!

Karli: The results are in for this year's PopSugar 100 list, and after thousands of lists and a final faceoff game it was a fight to the finish for the No. 1 spot! Johnny Depp and Robert Pattinson were neck and neck, but in the end, it was Johnny who came out on top.

Lauren: Johnny, Brad Pitt, and Jennifer Aniston are the only three stars who have all been in the top 10 for the past five years of the PopSugar 100 list, and whereas Brad and Jen have both won before, this year, it was Johnny's turn in the spotlight. He's had a huge year; Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides brought in major cash at the box office, Rango won over critics, and he also earned two Golden Globe nominations for The Tourist and Alice in Wonderland.

Karli: Johnny not only took the top spot in this year's list, but he also was number one in the Favorite A-List actors category and the Favorite Celebrity Dads category, and he came in second place as the sexiest celebrity man to none other than Robert Pattinson.

Lauren: Now, it's true that Robert Pattinson has been No. 1 the past two years in a row and some fans probably thought he was a shoo-in, but he wasn't the only surprise on this year's list. The PopSugar editors have been following all of the PopSugar 100 rankings for weeks now, so we asked them for some of the biggest shocks and highlights from this year's results!

Top 10 Comeback Stars!

Karli [I think this can be a tighter camera shot on just Karli]: Let's start things off by looking at the top 10. There were a few stars who jumped back up to the top of the list who are definitely worth calling out. Kristen Stewart made a huge jump from the bottom 50 all the way up to #4, Angelina Jolie went from #17 up to a prime spot at #7, and Britney Spears rebounded from #35 to come in at #6.

"Britney had a huge comeback year on the PopSugar 100 list! Not only did she catapult to the top 10, but she also swept four categories, including all-time favorite stars, dream girlfriend, favorite celebrity moms, and favorite recording artists! She has a hot new album, hit singles, her tour is about to kick off — she's back at the top of her game."

Movers and Shakers

Lauren: There were a few stars who we saw everywhere this year, and the PopSugar 100 definitely reflected that. Gwyneth Paltrow's multitasking between singing on Glee and selling her cookbook paid off in a big way, and she went from #73 on last year's list to #22, and Orlando Bloom's adorable daddy moments with baby Flynn helped launch his popularity, moving him from #91, all the way to #29. Blake Lively also made an impressive leap!

"Blake was pretty far down the list at #86 in 2010, but she's at #20 this year — and she's your #3 celeb style favorite, which just goes to show how much people are loving her! She's taken on high-profile big screen roles like The Town and the upcoming Green Lantern, she's the new face of Chanel, and Leonardo DiCaprio is her new rumored boyfriend, so she has all of Hollywood at her feet right now."

The New Kids

Karli: Several famous faces broke into the PopSugar 100 for the first time this year. Kate Middleton made her first appearance in the list at #57 and took the second place spot as one of your celeb style favorites, and Mila Kunis stepped in at an impressive #42 on the list, and she was your #5 sexiest woman. But the biggest debut of all belongs to Colin Firth who came in for the first time at #30 due to his huge award season sweep.

"I'm so excited for Colin Firth to make it for the first time this year! He was amazing in The Kings Speech. But I was also excited to see Ian Somerhalder do so well. He made his first PopSugar 100 appearance at #32, but what's more surprising — he landed in the No. 1 spot in the vampires and werewolves category, even over Robert Pattinson. I can't believe it!"

Insanely talented, those talents being not only in acting, genuine about his choice of roles, intelligent, dedicated to everything he does, incredibly funny, inventive, kind, sweet, loving, humble, shy, friendly, so appreciative of his fans, helpful towards anyone who needs help, and yes, so very, very, *very* handsome. He *is* the sexiest man. Truly a superstar, and there don't seem to be many of those. Love Johnny!!!
