@ColumbiaPerna In regards to Old Man River, here is a cleaner version (watch?v=5g4wnWILwSI) where you can see she is singing, especially the last notes. They probably had microphones above her. And another great performance, The Battle Hymn of the Republic was also done live. So I wouldn't say many numbers, I'd say probably a few here and there. However, she did lip-synch here in 1956 when she sings one of my favorite Judy songs, I Will Come Back (watch?v=129td-vr0Ow). She looks so good though.

@ColumbiaPerna I'm not sure that's entirely correct, but even if she did lip-synch, these were the days before auto-tune so her voice hasn't been altered to sound any better than how she would sing it live. In fact, when she did sing live, she had more emotion then when she would lip-synch on film.

I know many fans will not believe this, but this is lip-synched -- as are many of these numbers from the Judy Garland Show.  Her best moment singing Old Man River was pre-recorded and then dubbed for television. I am not saying this because the audio is out of synch with the mouths -- that happens a lot on old video -- but it just happens to be true about just about all of Judy's numbers on her show. Judy was an expert lip-syncher having done it through all of her film roles.
