It's a march of Imperial Japanese Navy. GUNKAN means a warship -- Kriegsschiff.

A great march played with such precision. Percussion is first class.

Even before hearing it played, my father already hummed it, because back in Surabaya during WW2 he worked as a forced labourer under a Christian japanese Captain called Ogata at a Japanese Naval Dockyard. Surabaya then Soerabaja was and still is a naval city. Then it was part of the Dutch East Indies which were occupied territory belonging to the Japanese NANJO's an expansion of Japanese land with the aim to gain raw materials such as Oil from Balikpapan, Rubber, etc.
