Simplex 4010 Manual Activation

This is how to manually activate my new simplex 4010 FACP. Due to recent programming it is in trouble mode. Sorry about the lighting, will post one tomorrow with better lighting. It is inside the captains office at my fire station. Due to it being 11PM and my crew is asleep the horns/strobes are disabled in the film. Sound is kinda crappy and the fire radio is on in the background

What is the point of having manual pull stations if there is a fire in your station. I mean if you have smoke detectors its one thing and you have radios to ask for more help?

The pull stations are used for training and during academy classes. We have heat sensors in the apparatus bay instead of smoke detectors because the exhaust from the apparatus set off the alarm too many times. CA law requires all fire alarm systems to have at least one pull station. We have just one and its in the training room

It is capable of it, but we don't use those in the fire house. Actually we are replacing this panel due to new problems after it was programmed, we are going to try the Fire Lite panel and I will post a video as soon as we get it active

You don't have 70 troubles from programming alone. Access level 4 (Service Mode) produces a trouble, and some tests produce a trouble to indicate status or results, but not 70.

yes fire light is a good system and costs less then simplex hope it works out for you and your department
