Clara Haskil was a fine pianist, perhaps the perfect match to Mozart's works, who lived a sorrowful life. Her ability to play such sincere Mozart is perhaps due to this, as the greatest joys can come from having experienced the greatest sorrows.

  • I don't think anything can be more beautiful than Mozart's slow movements when well played...

  • When musicians are breathing with music and when they are inspired with the right musicality , dynamic, colors and tension, then a superb dialogue between the soloist and the conductor is established like in a natural conversation. All these elements make this movement emotionally superior with Clara Haskil and Fricsay. Thank you for posting this video!
