Witchford Village College Leavers Prom 2011

Selected highlights as students arrived at WVC for the 2011 Leavers' Prom on Friday 1st July, shot at the request of some friends who had daughters attending.

Despite the huge crowd I managed to get a slightly elevated spot standing on a bench fairly close to the action. Only problem was it meant shooting straight into the bright evening sun - far from ideal from a filming point of view but otherwise perfect weather for the event!

Techie Stuff: I left all my big pro HD cams in the studio for this one so it was shot hand held on a tiny Panasonic TM900 with its excellent image stabilisation on. Camera in Manual mode, Full HD 1080p50 at 28Mbps with Rode Videomic Pro for sound capture. Quick edit in Sony Vegas 9E 64-bit on a Windows 7 box and rendered out to a 10Mbps 1080p25 mp4 for YouTube HD uploading. Note: This is a revised, shorter version over the one I uploaded immediately after the event - and have now removed.
