Excellent stuff, I had an LS-102 when I was in ZC4, worked a lot of stuff on it, great bit of nostalgia, I might even look for one myself :-)

Is the Belcom a 220volt radio? It looks like a mobile. What is the big radio underneath? I love DX but it sure has been dead he in the states!

What makes them "Free"?Yes! In some countries they are legal to use. In others it is not. Where do people say they are free? I've never understood this term here for in the States it is very illegal. Canada and AU too it is quite illegal to use certain frequencys at around 27. 405 MHz and up.

@iluvdx60 It's highly ilegal to use SSB on CB Radio in the UK......I read about Freeband in American books years ago..........so I don't know why they used the phrase......not got a clue who inveted this term.

The radio under it is a 1987 Uniden 300 UK 27/81 base station.The big radio is a 1980 Ham International Jumbo base .They are all in "Mint" condition..........I adore these Jems from a past era.....73's DAVE UK.

The Belcom is a mobile radio Ernie built in Japan in 1980 and favoured by the UK "Freebanders" of the time.
