  • I love the JX-3P - it has a certain character - to me is an marriage of cold digital (DCO's) and analogue warmth (VCF) - nice synth!

  • @lefterhsk1 yes jx3p has midi in out it's stuck on either channel01 or omni [all 16] also has an on board step sequencer too.

  • i am wondering....it has midi out...? i would like to buy a analogue synth but with midi out..!

  • @NightfurMusic All the older Juno-synths can produce two waveforms (sawtooth and pulse) at the same time (!) only with their main oscillator. In addition you have the sub-oscillator and a noise generator. This is not possible on a JX-3P. The Alpha-Junos even have additional variations of saw and pulse on board. Another point are all the different filter chips inside. "Chip-brothers" are JX-3P/Juno-6/-60, MKS-30/Juno-106 and JX-8P/JX-10/AlphaJuno-1/-2/MKS-50/MKS-80_RevB.

  • I just bought a jx 3p

  • The fun with this synth starts building your own sounds. The presets are pretty useless, except for the strings. Ideally, you have the PG-200 and obviously you need to hook up a digital effects processor and add some echo or reverb. With the JX-3P it is possible to create very broad cosmic sounds as well as tight sequences. Midi setup is limited, so don't get a synth like this if you want to completely integrate it with the rest of your setup or computer software.

  • great demo! thanks for posting. Do you feel that this can obtain the same sounds as the Juno series? If you tune of of the DCO's an octave lower than the other does it sound like the "sub oscillator" setting on the Juno's?

  • With mine, I can only access channel A, and I can only get to channel C by pressing the "write" button. I also can't turn on/off the chorus button. It's really frustrating not to be able to access channel b+d. It was fine on the day I got it, but somehow I pressed something that made it glitch like this.I actually got it to work today for a few hours for the first time in months, but it soon went back after I messed something up again. Do you know how to reverse this? I hope you can help!
