He is a Creep, he should not be in public office. We don't need people like him telling us who should and should not be allowed to marry. Marriage a "Social institution" that he has no right to speak of, as he has demonstrated he has little respect for it.

Yes, he did apologize in public. So, what? This man has exactly zero credibility to stand before the Senate and make such a speech! It is funny to hear him preach about the importance of a stable, nurturing 2-parent family, however.
