Remembering Mrs. Esther Chung, our Maths Teacher @ Sung Siew

Received the news of the untimely demise of our Beloved teacher, Mrs. Esther Chung or Miss Kan whom we fondly called her in those days when we were in Sung Siew in the 60s. She was called to Eternal Rest by the Lord on the first day of 2012 in Canada.

After Graduating from the Hong Kong Chinese University, she answered the call to come to an unknown place that was badly in need of mathematics teacher. She was a dedicated teacher; trusting in God and with a heart to serve, she helped to groom hundreds of young people at Sung Siew.

Since she was educated in Cantonese, she was handicapped in English but she quickly picked up the language through her hard work.

Farewell, Miss Kan

Eternal Rest grant unto her, Oh Lord and Let perpetual light shine upon her. May She Rest in Peace. May the Choirs of the Angels receive her, and may she, with the once poor Lazarus, have rest everlasting. Amen
