Change is only going to come about when people have the power to act upon the knowledge that they will acquire through the new technology, says former Alaska Democratic Senator Mike Gravel. During the 2008 presidential campaign he became a YouTube rock star and now spends most of his time working in South Korea.

I caught up with him today in New York at the Personal Democracy Forum the place to be, he said to find out what how technology is being used in South Korea, his thoughts on technology and the American democracy and how he rates President Obama thus far.

  • My Hero :)

  • Not a fan of Barr.... its ok to keep him out.

Helped pass a Bill that really hurt gay rights. I am not gay, but Barr is a fake.

Gravel, Nader, Kucinich..... are the best.

Paul... is ok. He voted no for EFCA, that made me think twice about Paul.

  • @HughieG, I agree with your choices and reasons for them. I'd also add Kucinich to the list.

All of these would be interesting as dinner guests - along with Paul - for a intelligent, well-informed discussion, regardless of whether you agreed with their ideology/politics or not.

I wonder why Gravel and Nader don't run for governor in their respective states!? They'd be able to provide much needed leadership as governors, rather than being side-lined as they are in their present positions.

  • I can appreciate that. Its a good mind set

  • My endorsements are to non partisen politicians in general

  • Gravel, Paul, Nader, Barr

These folks are Not getting any atttention in the media since the election. "Big Brother" media conglomerates are too busy isolating this message.

  • I saw a fight break out between the ruling conservatives and leftist party's in south korea over privatising some parts of the public utilities i think just last week, their very passionate about their politics thats all i can say but the english news readers just sniggered at it, if only we had people who were as passionate instead of being steam rolled by the party machine, Mike Gravel good man americans dont know what they missed.

  • The elites are not going to have the American people to made laws, they are destroying the Constitution overnite.
