  • why is it called (mclemore) avenue

  • The band is called McLemore Ave. because we are influenced a lot by the music in that came from a studio called Stax, which was on McLemore Avenue in Memphis, TN

  • amazing, sounded alot like the origonal!! gr8 organ playing aswell

  • truth in music says...this is soulful indeed!

  • Great performance! Thx.

  • Sounds great - good effort! And I don't think it sounds at all empty without the horns. Just because you don't have the exactly the same lineup as one of the recordings of a song doesn't mean you shouldn't cover it - it is all the more impressive for succeeding with your own arrangement.

We've just started working out some Booker T numbers in my band, and it would be great if we could get them to sound as good as this!

  • This song is sick. It's definitely one of the most beautiful songs ever written. The first time I heard the Booker T. version, I couldn't stop listening to it. You guys did a great job, the only problem is that it sounds rather empty without the horns. The horns really make the song, and that's the only reason why we don't cover this song in my band.

  • A very soulful rendition. Great
