Tony De Vit (RIP)
This is a rare, not often seen video which we made for Brummie house DJ Tony De Vit (playing the Svengali/Dali here. The budget was low (par for the course at PWL), so we made the most of an art dealer friend's generosity...we shot it in his house (the same house, trivia fans, that Placebo's first vid was shot in).
It was a laugh.

  • I remember fergie telling me about this video back in 2004 when I was fairly pally with him back in the day...the guy in the fur coat is actually him! Just been mixing away put this on and it spurred me to search for the video and low and behold a young Robert Ferguson! This was the tune that got me into dance music my mum had it on a 'retrospective of house' tape and it changed the way i listened to music forever...I was only 8!! Amazing tune...god rest your soul Mr De Vit x

  • @gazzasouth

i used to like Fergie but at a TDV memorial @ Storm his laptop wouldnt synch with the mixer so he sacked his set off, kicked a few lads off the second room decks & played electro. Pete Wardman, Andy Farley & Nik Denton covered his set which went down like a gem but would have liked to hear him play as he was so close to him.

  • He was a true showman. I wish TRADE was still weekly, atleast we could hear pete & ian playing his tunes rather than some of the ppl who rinse the dawn & i dont care, both are epic tracks but theres a time & place.

    Peace Mr De Vit

  • Bring back Tin Tin's !

  • I remember this tune...........they used to play it at TRADE.............it was way back 20 years ago! Mental nights.
