I saw the Essex Green in NYC a few years back... probably like, 8 years actually. Anyway, the place was completely packed. Too packed. I realized later that they were sharing the ticket with the Lucksmiths and that was my introduction to this fine band. The Lucksmiths opened and the place pretty much cleared out, which I thought was rude. However, 8 years (or whatever) later, I still throw on the Lucksmiths. Essex Green not so much. Not that they're bad or anything.
