@hiker0100 Yes that steam locomotive is exactly the 108, no other steamer in North Conway ever had a headlight on top of the boiler, #501 and #7470 are center lighted locomotives
-
what horn is that on 1055?
-
1055 is now back on home rails once again on the former MEC Calais Branch, & running weekend excursion service the Downeast Scenic Railroad in Ellsworth Maine. More on their site at downeastscenicrail,org/ride

Wow, as Mike said, it has changed a lot... I still remember when 1055 led the Bartlett train, lol. Now she is gone though.
-
Both the 1055 and open car 155 are now owened by the Downeast Scenic Railroad.
-
@nhrrman they actually just announced on their facebook page that they have sold 1055
-

Would the steam locomotive at 4:49 happen to be #108?

@hiker0100 I would have to look at some of my still shots, but I believe you are correct. A 2-6-2 if I remember correctly, Craig

Thank you for posting this! This place has changed quite a bit. I've been visiting since 1989, and I've worked there since 2005. This is a trip down memory lane for sure! (btw, 1055 is an Alco S-4.)

Glad you enjoyed the vid...thanks for the update on the 1055 as we didn't look it up and Craig said it had a small stack with the AAR trucks and I told him S-3 but now that I look I can see it's an S-4......
