  • Back when Adult Swim didn't suck.

  • I totally did a double take when I saw this on TV because they used Peter Cullen and did it JUST like an older Toonami promo except it was all "ADULT SWIM" and I was like "OH MY GOD EPIC"

    In short? I came buckets.

  • @MysticArksRevenge I certainly would buy more kits if they weren't imported, hopefully they would be cheaper then.

  • @SageofTalos It is indeed too much of a niche.

  • @hoffa58 That's what I wanna know.

  • Once in a life time event and i fucking missed it....

  • @MysticArksRevenge Gundam in of itself has too much of a niche audience in the States. For a Japanese kids' show (which it is, over there) it had some heavy themes for something made for the 11-13 age group (at least in the States). Besides, the Gundam Craze itself lasted a good 5 years in America, we're lucky we had it at all.

  • adult swim what the fuck happened? you used to be cool........

  • @theDarkKnightofChaos Yeah, and that is why I am not a fan of anything we do. I know a lot of people think me as a fucking weeaboo because of this but I honestly don't give a flying fuck.

They could at least do that and sell them here in the U.S. instead of having to pay $30 or $200 for a imported Gundam figure.

  • @MysticArksRevenge Yeah, the values dissonance between Japan and America was probably a big factor in Gundam's ultimate failure in the US market. But you'd think Bandai would at least try selling the model's to the adult collector's market or something.

  • Makes me wish Cullen was used for more anime promos.

  • @frozenray0079 Toonami got gundam wing in 1999 and the vhs boxset of the MSG trilogy was released that year stateside as well. I bought all the wing vhs and the MSG trilogy upon initial release. They released the original gundam TV show on Toonami in july of 2001 subsequently releasing it on DVD as well along with 8th MS team.
